This Privacy Policy explains how Gothelf A. Watches ("the site", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and retains information about you when you use gotawatch.com (and its sub-paths, including the Hebrew version). Using the site constitutes acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you contact us via the site forms (contact, "sell your watch", newsletter sign-up), WhatsApp, phone or email, we may collect: full name, email address, phone number, the details of your enquiry or watch, and any other information you choose to share.
2.2 Information collected automatically
As you browse, we automatically collect technical data including: IP address and approximate location (country/city), browser, operating system and device type, pages visited, entry/exit pages, time on site and navigation path, referral source, and anonymous cookie and measurement identifiers.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive aggregated, statistical information from the measurement and advertising platforms we use (Google, Meta) to understand site and campaign performance.
3. Measurement, analytics & advertising (tracking codes)
The site uses third-party services for measurement, traffic analysis and advertising, deployed through Google Tag Manager:

What is measured: events such as product (watch) views, lead/contact form submissions, newsletter sign-ups, WhatsApp clicks, phone-number clicks and email clicks.
Enhanced Conversions: to measure enquiries accurately, when a form is submitted identifying data (email, phone and name) may be sent to Google in hashed form. It is used solely to match the conversion and improve campaign measurement, in line with Google's policies.
Remarketing: you may see our ads on other websites and social networks after visiting, based on remarketing lists managed in Google Ads and Meta.
These tools are not loaded and collect no data before you give consent (see section 4).
4. Cookies & consent management
What are cookies? Small text files stored in your browser that let the site remember preferences and measure usage.
- Essential cookies — required for the site to work and to store your language and consent choice. Always active.
- Analytics cookies — traffic and performance measurement (GA4). Loaded only after consent.
- Advertising cookies — advertising and remarketing (Google Ads, Meta). Loaded only after consent.
Consent management (Consent Mode v2): on your first visit a cookie notice is shown. Analytics and advertising tools run in a default "denied" state until you choose "Accept". Choosing "Essentials only" keeps them off. Your choice is remembered for about 180 days and can be changed at any time by clearing your browser cookies. You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings, though this may affect some site features.

6. Legal basis

7. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with: service providers who run systems on our behalf (site hosting, analytics (Google), advertising (Google, Meta), and email delivery); and competent authorities where required by law or court order, or to protect our rights. Service providers are required to use the information only for the purposes for which it was provided.
8. International transfers
Some service providers (such as Google and Meta) store and process data on servers outside Israel, including in the United States and elsewhere. By using the site you consent to such transfer and processing, subject to those providers' privacy policies and safeguards.
9. Direct marketing & newsletter
If you sign up to the newsletter or provide details, we may send you updates and marketing content. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in the message or by writing to info@gotawatch.com. Opt-outs are handled within a reasonable time as required by law.
10. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information (including a secure HTTPS connection). However, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and cannot warrant that no breach or unauthorised use will occur.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or outdated information; delete personal information; opt out of marketing lists; and restrict or object to certain processing (including remarketing). To exercise these rights, contact info@gotawatch.com. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Analytics data is retained according to the measurement tools' default settings. Thereafter information is deleted or anonymised.
13. Minors
The site is not intended for use by minors under 18 without parental/guardian approval. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
14. Links to external sites
The site may contain links to external sites (including social networks and eBay). This policy does not apply to them, and we recommend reviewing their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new update date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
